Senior Analyst, Rabobank
Jim Watson is a Senior Analyst in Rabobank’s research group covering the North American beverages sector, based in New York. He studies the big consumer and industry trends that are shaping the beverage world, looking at how each beverage segment fits into the overall drinks landscape. Jim leads the research efforts in beer and non-alcoholic beverages in North America, building on Rabobank’s presence from the farm level through the entire value chain, and works with clients on everything from understanding new markets to strategic planning and M&A.
Prior to joining Rabobank, Jim spent ten years as an equity research analyst at HSBC covering global beverages and focusing on strategic and thematic issues, especially industry consolidation, corporate valuations and emerging consumer trends. Jim earned a B.S. in Economics from Duke University and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
